Samir Saab, Operator of Casas del XVI and CEO of Prohotel International Inc. has been
reappointed member of the International Advisory Board of Hoteliers (IABH) of the Small
Luxury Hotels of the World™ representing the Americas Region for another three-year term.
Samir serves on the IABH alongside Daniel Koetser (Le Grand Bellevue, Gstaad, Switzerland),
Andrew Grahame (Dormy House, Cotwolds, UK), Anchalika Kijkanakorn (Aleenta Resort and
Spa Phuket, Thailand), Andrea Spalletti Trivelli (Villa Spalletti Trivelli, Italy), Henrik Muehle
(Flemings Mayfair, England), Christopher Stafford (137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai, Thailand),
Judith Volker (Hotel Tannenhof, Austria), Laurent Myter (Pangkor Laut, Malaysia), Jerome
Tourbier (Les Sources de Caudalie, France), Richard Widman (Wentworth Mansion, USA), and
Fernando Davila (Olive Boutique Hotel, Puerto Rico).
As the creator and current CEO and President of Prohotel International, for over 30 years Samir
Saab has worked hard to promote luxury boutique properties worldwide with a focus on Latin
America and the Caribbean. Today Prohotel International manages and markets multiple Small
Luxury Hotels in the Caribbean and Mr. Saab wants to continue adding more hotels to the SLH
collection in order to increase the presence of the prestigious brand in the Americas.
Mr. Saab has been involved with SLH since its conception, making him very knowledgeable of
the company and how it benefits its members. He previously served in the SLH Board of
Directors and as of June 2016 became one the Vice Presidents of the new International Advisory
Board of Hoteliers (IABH). Mr. Saab is honored to be able to continue his work in overseeing
the interests of all SLH hotels in the Americas for another term in the IABH.
